Dr. Abrams has performed over 15,000 surgeries throughout his career and is widely recognized for his skill in using the latest technologies to deliver optimal outcomes. He specializes in cataract surgery, refractive, minimally invasive glaucoma, and cross-linking, oculoplastic surgery, i.e., upper and lower blepharoplasty, eyebrow lift procedures, chalazion and lesion removal, and ectropion and entropion repair.
Education and Training
Dr. Abrams began his academic journey with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of California. He continued his education at the UCLA School of Medicine, where he obtained his medical degree. Following medical school, he completed a residency in Internal Medicine through the UCLA San Fernando Valley Program, then pursued a residency in Ophthalmology at Tulane University School of Medicine. Dr. Abrams completed an advanced fellowship training at the renowned Shiley Eye Institute at the University of California, San Diego, to further specialize in Cornea, Anterior Segment, and Refractive Surgery.

Dr. Abrams has served as a trusted consultant for top medical technology companies. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, a certification he has held since 2001. He was also certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is the first surgeon in Nevada to perform: Laser-Assisted Cataract, KAMRA Inlay and Laser-Assisted Intacs; Dr. Abrams is the first and still only surgeon in Nevada to do Laser-Assisted Corneal Transplants.
