Dr. Nilou Rohani is an ophthalmologist with comprehensive training in cataract surgery, refractive surgery, corneal cross-linking, and dry eye. Having completed her residency at the Vanderbilt Eye Institute, she blends precision, modern surgical techniques, and a calm, patient-focused approach to help individuals achieve clearer vision and greater confidence.
Education, Medical Training, and Philosophy of Care
Dr. Rohani earned her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine, where she was recognized for both academic achievement and community service. She then completed a year of general surgery training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center before entering her ophthalmology residency at the Vanderbilt Eye Institute, where she gained extensive experience in both routine and complex eye disease. Prior to medical school, she graduated summa cum laude from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in finance.

She has presented research on refractive outcomes in cataract surgery, fulminant idiopathic intracranial hypertension, and cranial nerve disorders, and her scholarly work includes multiple peer-reviewed publications in comprehensive ophthalmology and neuro-ophthalmology.
Personal Interests
Outside of medicine, Dr. Rohani enjoys traveling the world with her husband, exploring new destinations, cultures, and cuisines. At home, she loves cooking and experimenting with fresh, flavorful recipes. She also adores her goldendoodle, Lulu, who is very much part of the family.
